On October 19 in Xiangyang, Hubei, a zookeeper was cleaning in the kangaroo enclosure at an amusement park when one of the kangaroos, seemingly curious or eager to show its strength, decided to “challenge” the keeper. The kangaroo cautiously approached and made a few provoking gestures.

However, the zookeeper remained calm and unfazed by the kangaroo's antics. When the kangaroo moved in closer, the zookeeper swiftly reached out and firmly grabbed it by the neck. Despite some resistance, the kangaroo was ultimately subdued.

The amusement park later explained that there was no real hostility between the kangaroo and the keeper—this was just a playful interaction. The zookeeper and the kangaroo have a friendly relationship, and their “challenge and response” routine is simply a playful game between them.
