Los Angeles, United States - November 07, 2024 11/07/2024 09:55 pm (GMT-0800) HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES – LAPD Hollywood Division patrol units and LAFD personnel responded to reports of a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic collision shortly before 10 p.m. at the Franklin Avenue and North Van Ness Avenue intersection. When first responders arrived on the scene, they located a male victim down in lanes outside a crosswalk and requested additional units to the scene for a possible fatality. According to Officer Chavez, a spokesperson for the LAPD, LAFD paramedics transported the man in critical condition to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Chavez told KNN that the 47-year-old victim was a person experiencing homelessness. The suspect vehicle was described as a gray or green newer model Mini Cooper.
