United States - November 14, 2024 A dramatic rescue unfolded on Thursday, November 14, when U.S. Coast Guard crews came to the aid of two boaters and their dogs after their 31-foot sailboat ran aground south of Fleeton Point. The stranded individuals were lifted to safety by an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Air Station Atlantic City. The rescue operation concluded with the boaters and their pets being transferred to emergency services at Naval Air Station Patuxent River. No injuries were reported, and all parties are safe after the harrowing ordeal.
