Beirut, Lebanon - November 22, 2024 The death toll from Israeli attacks on Lebanon in the latest round of Israel-Hezbollah conflict that broke out on Oct 8, 2023 climbed to 3,645, with injuries rising to 15,355, said Lebanon's Ministry of Public Health on Friday. The ministry reported that in the past day alone, 62 people were killed and 111 were injured in the conflict. On Friday, the Israeli military continued its airstrikes on multiple locations in Lebanon, while Hezbollah responded by launching rockets and deploying drones against Israeli targets. The southern suburbs of Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, continued to suffer heavy airstrikes from the Israeli military, with loud explosions echoing over the city, and thick smoke rising from multiple locations. According to media reports, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement on Friday that the Israeli air forces raided Hezbollah commander center in southern suburbs of Beirut. The Israeli military also launched airstrikes targeting Hezbollah positions in the coastal city of Tyre in southern Lebanon, including command centers, weapon depots, and other infrastructure. Additionally, the IDF stated that it had destroyed 45 Hezbollah rocket launchers in southern Lebanon this week. Meanwhile, Hezbollah announced on Friday that it had launched rockets and drones at Israel, targeting Israeli troop gathering points and other locations in multiple areas. The group also claimed that it had attacked a base linked to the Israeli Air Force in the east of Israeli city Haifa, as well as a naval base northwest of Haifa.
