This Thanksgiving weekend, Michigan is bracing for an intense lake-effect snow event. Arctic temperatures are set to arrive late Thursday, bringing several inches of snow to West and Southeast Michigan. Northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula could see more than a foot in some areas, with blowing and drifting snow adding to the challenge.
Earlier this week, parts of the U.P. already reported up to seven inches of snow. Now, the snow load is set to grow even more.

Drivers are advised to stay cautious as road conditions worsen.
