Script:
A violent 7.6-magnitude earthquake struck off Hokkaido near Aomori on December 8, 2025, shaking Hakodate with a Shindo 5+ intensity — strong enough to knock over shelves and halt ferry operations. Tsunami warnings of up to 3 meters prompted evacuations for around 90,000 residents along the northern coast, followed by multiple aftershocks, including a magnitude 5.5.

In this footage from @yamada_iits, streetlights sway above empty nighttime roads as intense horizontal shaking hits the city. The filmer’s alarmed cries of “Yabai!” capture the fear on the ground as they urge others to escape during the quake.
