US, Los Angeles: Santa Clarita Hit and Run Auto Versus Pedestrian
Los Angeles, United States - November 29, 2024 11/29/2024 10:59 pm (GMT-0800) SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – Sheriff's deputies are searching for a suspect in a hit-and-run after a pedestrian was struck and severely injured by a vehicle and left for dead on a Santa Clarita roadway. The incident occurred shortly before 11 p.m. on the 24300 block of Main Street at Ninth Street in the city of Santa Clarita's Old Town Newhall area. A man crossing Ninth Street was struck by what investigators described as a black, four-door sedan. The vehicle did not remain at the scene. Several 911 callers reported a man found lying in the roadway along the city's decorated and holiday-themed strip of Main Street. The man was rushed to a trauma center in unknown condition. The incident remains under investigation by the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station.
