STORYLINE:

Ebru, or the Turkish art of paper marbling, is a traditional painting art. 

To create an Ebru, the artist will have to paint on water and then transfer this painting onto paper. 

In 2014, Ebru was officially listed as a UNESCO World Intangible Culture Heritage.

Growing up in northwest China's Xi'an city, Li Xintong moved to Istanbul in 2007.

"I first saw Ebru water marbling on TV. I thought it was so beautiful and magical, so I began to learn it in our district."

After seven years of Ebru training, Li became a teacher of the art. Her works are characterized by a mixture of Chinese elements with the art of Ebru.

"I have students from China and other countries, but I think the most stable students over the years are the Chinese students. Feliz (Li Xintong) has been on the ship of Ebru for many years."
