This is the tense moment a hot-headed tourist fought with a local driver in a road rage row in Indonesia.

CCTV footage shows the helmetless foreigner in a white shirt appearing to strike the door of an oncoming SUV at the Tegalgundul intersection in Badung Regency, Bali, on November 29.

The Indonesian driver then stepped out of his vehicle and confronted the tourist, sparking a row that clogged the busy junction. Passing drivers later stepped in to break up their fight.

Badung police spokesman Ipda Putu Sukarma said: 'No party has reported about the incident.'

The row came a day after several holidaymakers fought amid busy traffic along the Uluwatu-Pecatu Highway, also in Bali. The furious tourists had blocked oncoming cars as they squared up in the middle of the road.

The altercation is one of the latest incidents involving misbehaving tourists on the bustling holiday island in Indonesia.

Officials have even taken steps to reign in the chaos following complaints from police and residents about tourists disrespecting the culture, violating traffic rules, committing crimes and behaving badly in public.
