This is the moment a defiant passenger ignored complaints and continued eating on a train in Thailand.

The entitled commuter burst into a tirade after being warned by staff not to eat on the MRT Blue Line in Bangkok.

Instead of complying, the lady began ranting, even mistaking the name of the train line as she walked along the aisle.

Footage shows her holding a large plastic bag of rice crackers.

She shouted: 'I want any student or anyone to make me appear on the front-page news.

‘I will protest, I will protest against BTS. How can the service be like this? Is it illegal to just eat some rice crackers?

‘Look! My left hand is holding a rice cracker, my right hand is holding a ticket coin. Just one piece? Is it illegal to put a crispy rice cracker in my mouth?'

Other passengers had to listen to her rambling before alighting at their stops on September 26.

University student Ravisprach Tasit said: 'My friends, another teacher, and I took the MRT from Phetchaburi station and were going to Lak Song to go home.

‘When the train arrived at Tha Phra station, this elderly lady got on with some rice crackers. She seemed to be talking to a man, like she wanted to tell him something.

‘She was talking about the problem with the rice crackers she was holding, and she said that the train staff were not taking care of things properly.

‘She wondered if it was really such a big deal for her to eat rice crackers on the train. After that, the events unfolded as seen in the video.

‘She kept making a scene, and there was a security guard who kept trying to control the situation.

‘I don't know what happened after that because I had to rush home at that time, so I didn't continue recording the video.'

According to the BTS Skytrain regulations, passengers are banned from consuming or attempting to consume any food or beverage within a train or the paid area.
