A woman found the end of the rainbow and ran across muddy puddles on a grass field to get a better view.

Footage shows the double rainbow, one much colourful than its faint twin, arching over a pasture as it was spotted by Andrea in Camarines Sur, the Philippines on November 27 morning.

Andrea went from the concrete road towards the weedy land and hopped over a stream to reach it. Unfortunately for Andrea, there was no pot of gold.

She said: 'I was expecting something shiny like light, but it was just grass and mud at the end of the rainbow.'

A rainbow forms when sunlight passes through water droplets in the air. The light bends, splits into colours, reflects inside the droplet, and bends again as it exits, creating an arc.
