This is the horrifying moment a petrol station explodes in a violent blast, from which a tanker driver and a female employee miraculously survive as they emerge from the inferno.

Footage shows the filling station, with a large tanker parked nearby, suddenly exploding into a massive fireball in Iskitim, Novosibirsk Oblast, Russia, on December 2.

One of the individuals emerges just seconds after the fire erupts, reportedly the driver, followed by the female employee, whose clothes are in tatters as she appears shortly before the clip ends.

Local media reported firefighters arrived on the scene a few minutes later and quickly extinguished the blaze.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations stated that both victims were taken to the hospital with burns, and the fire was fully put out after an hour.

Authorities have opened an investigation into the explosion.
