Photographer Craig Whalley was filmed struggling to stay upright as he walked headfirst into Storm Darragh winds on the Isle of Man.

Storm Darragh sent severe storm force 11 winds across the Irish Sea from the North West on 7th December 2024. The west coast of the Isle of Man was particularly exposed, Peel being the main port on that coast. Filmed by Shane Stigant from a headland to the North, the footage shows his good friend Craig Whalley trying to walk against the wind to get to the headland to film the storm. Waves breaking heavily over the breakwater protecting Peel harbour in the background. Still photographs taken at the time show at least one vehicle still parked on the breakwater.
