"Behind me stands the magnificent Macao Bridge, a dragon-like marvel that recently opened to traffic in honor of this year's National Day. Together with the three neighboring cross-sea bridges, they collectively shape a striking urban skyline for Macao. These four bridges not only serve as vital links between various regions of Macao but also significantly propel the territory's transportation infrastructure and economic development."
Macao's fourth cross-sea bridge, the Macao Bridge, officially opened to traffic on October 1, connecting the Macao Peninsula to Macao's Taipa.
Macao's very first bridge, the Governor Nobre de Carvalho Bridge, opened to traffic on Oct. 5, 1974.

"Macao has plenty of popular spots for photo ops, but there's one 'hidden gem' that many tourists may miss out on: the top of the Governor Nobre de Carvalho Bridge. It's the only one among Macao's four cross-sea bridges where you can actually walk across. From here, you can not only enjoy breathtaking sunrises and sunsets but also get a panoramic view of many of Macao's iconic landmarks."
Over the past decades, Macao's bridges have witnessed its economic development and deepening exchanges with the mainland.
STANDUP 3 (English): YU LIZHEN, Xinhua correspondent
"The bustling bridges connect Macao residents across the islands, bearing witness to the rapid economic development of Macao. Together with the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, it becomes a crucial passageway for Macao to deeply integrate into the Greater Bay Area. This holds great significance for Macao to leverage its role as a bridge to the world and better integrate into the overall national development."
Xinhua News Agency correspondents reporting from Macao, China.
