This is the fascinating moment that an unexpected power outage turned a student's innovative bottle lamp into the spotlight of the evening at Haifeng County Experimental Middle School.

On November 23, 2024, in Shanwei, Guangdong, the video captured the student made use of a small night lamp crafted from a mineral water bottle during their evening self-study session.

This makeshift lamp, ingeniously designed by the students, featured an upside-down water bottle equipped with a button battery, flexible core wire lights, and a mercury switch to complete the circuit.

The lamp lit up automatically when the bottle was positioned upright, illuminating the dark classroom.

The bottle lamp not only provided much-needed light but also demonstrated the students' ability to innovate and adapt, making the best out of a less-than-ideal situation.
