Man's cola explodes instantly after being removed from electric kettle
On December 15, in Hefei, Anhui Province, a man attempted to heat a bottle of cola in an electric kettle. The moment he took it out, the bottle suddenly exploded, causing the liquid to spray all over his face.
The man explained that the weather was cold, and he wanted to drink warm cola, not realizing he was making a basic mistake. Fortunately, he was not injured.
Experts pointed out that carbonated beverages like cola contain large amounts of dissolved carbon dioxide gas, which remains stable at room temperature. However, when exposed to high heat, the gas expands rapidly, which can cause the container to explode.
