Get down! New recruit fumbles live grenade, safety officer springs into action and drags him to cover
This video captures a terrifying moment during a live grenade throwing exercise by the Chinese People's Armed Police Force in Shaanxi Province.
Security footage shows that on the morning of December 3, a new recruit, due to nervousness, dropped the grenade at his feet during a live throw.
The safety officer next to him immediately recognised the danger and quickly pulled the recruit into a trench. The grenade exploded a second later. Both individuals were unharmed due to the safety officer's timely response.
