This is the bizarre moment a man proudly drives his luxury Mercedes-Benz around his city with the massive 60lb carp he caught dangling from the back of his car.

Footage shows the fisherman parading his prized catch around Guangxi's busiest streets in southern China for over two hours on December 1.

The enormous black sea creature, carefully tied under the licence plate to avoid obscuring it, swayed as the car slowly cruised through downtown, turning heads and sparking curiosity.

Mr Lu, the angler from Baise, Guangxi, said: 'This fish weighs 56 jin [61 lbs]. It wasn't easy to catch such a big one, so I hung it on the back of the car, drove around for a while to show it off for about two hours in total - let other fishermen be envious.'

Another video clip shows the fish being cleaned and scaled, suggesting that the hard-earned catch was destined for the dinner table.
