Police raid 'drug-fueled gay sex party' at hotel in Bangkok
Police raided a drug-fulled gay sex party at a luxury hotel in Bangkok.
Officers from stormed into the upmarket room following intelligence about x-rated events involving 'upper class' men on November 2.
Cops converged on the high-end suite on Sukhumvit Soi 13, where they detained 28 'muscular' Thais and one Filipino wearing only underwear in the middle of the orgy.
Police also seized 1.11 grams of crystal meth, two meth pills, a bottle of liquid ecstasy, 0.75 grams of ketamine, two boxes of Viagra, 30 bottles of 'poppers', 10 syringes, drug paraphernalia, condoms, and lubricating gels.
Scattered throughout the scene were several used condoms filled with body fluids.
Police from the Narcotics Suppression Bureau said three people were charged for drug possession while four tested positive for drug use. The suspects were handed over to the Lumphini Police Station for further legal action while interrogations were ongoing.
Authorities said the raid was carried out after an undercover officer sent to infiltrate the group learned about the scheduled drug party.
Police Major General Teeradej Thumsutee, deputy chief of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, said: 'The event was organised by the same group previously arrested during a similar operation in the Thong Lor area on December 8 last year.
'I would like to warn about poppers, or amyl nitrite, which were originally intended for medical use but are now being misused, particularly within the gay community, who often use them to ease pain during anal sex.
'The substance is illegal because its use should only be under a doctor's prescription.'
Police Lieutenant General Siam Bunsom, Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, said he has ordered an expanded investigation to crack down on the source of the illegal drugs.
