Handy dad builds world of DIY toys for daughter including 2-player driving game on bedroom door
In Zhengzhou, Henan Province, a father has transformed his home into a handmade toy world for his daughter.
The father, Zhang Shuai, works in event planning. He noticed that his daughter often played on her phone and decided to create various toys for her to enrich her free time and encourage her to put down the device.
Zhang Shuai primarily uses doors, walls, and ceilings as platforms and incorporates materials like discarded cardboard boxes and other household waste into his creations.
He has crafted an impressive variety of toys for his daughter, including *Need for Speed* and *Tetris* games on doors, a full-room train track on the walls, a ceiling light modified into a rocket lamp with thundercloud effects, electrical outlets turned into Jerry the mouse's cozy hideaway, and even wearable Transformer armor. Over the years, he has created approximately 300 toys for his daughter.
Zhang Shuai shared that although the process of making toys is challenging, it is also filled with joy and a sense of accomplishment. He believes that spending quality time with his daughter during her childhood is priceless. Looking ahead, he plans to build an even larger "toy library" for her, ensuring her childhood is filled with love and cherished moments.
