A talented toy fanatic built an incredible hand-crafted miniature town.

Aekalak, 45, said he quit his job after being burned out and turned to modelling toys instead from his home in Bangkok, Thailand.

The skilled craftsman built several displays, including an amazing tiny replica of a Thai town.

He makes each object by hand, including vehicles and their parts, phone booths, vending machines, and even characters.

Speaking in the video, Aekalak said: ‘I had another job before becoming a full-time modeller. When I started, it was only a hobby. I had a full-time job for 20 years until I felt burned-out and decided to resign.'

Aekalak said started making Gundam models until he moved to 1:64 scale cars.

He said: ‘Apart from 1:64 models, I also build other interesting miniature models. My first famous work was a wire wheel at a 1:64 scale. I used 0.1 mm wires and threaded each wire together to become the wheel for Ferrari 250 GTO model. This is the work where people knew me from.'

In terms of the process, Aekalak said he starts by thinking of a unique concept.

He said: 'Then I work on the prototype including colouring and photo shooting before accepting pre-orders.

'After I receive the orders, I send them to the manufacturing partner for mass production, maybe for around 20-30 units.

'I sculpt with a 3D rendering program and colour by hand. Most works are done by hand.”

Aekalak said he was happy when people finally received models he had hand-crafter for them. He said: ‘When people saw it for the first time, they were amazed by how such small models were made.

‘I think anyone can do it, but you must spend time with it. I could not do it in a single try. Sometimes, a single work must be done ten times, it could be busted or broken.

‘I work until it is complete at the tenth or fifteenth attempt. I believe anyone who tries at a certain point will be accomplished, but they might give up before.'

Aekalak said he hopes his models will become popular internationally.

He added: ‘I am trying to create the brand ‘Akara', so it's known by Thais and overseas.'
