STORYLINE:
The No. 11 metro line of Shanghai, which suffered track damage on Sunday morning due to a falling crane from an external construction site, has resumed operations, according to local authorities.

"Last night around 9 p.m., Line 11 had already resumed traffic operations. During this morning's rush hour, our train intervals and operations are all back to normal. Our passenger flow is also normal."
The accident happened at about 8 a.m. when a crawler crane collapsed onto the tracks of the metro line. Passengers in the train were soon evacuated, with no casualties reported.
A work team has been dispatched to the city to guide local authorities in handling the accident, according to the Ministry of Emergency Management. The cause of the accident is being investigated.
