Sandy Springs, United States - January 01, 2025 A dramatic police pursuit ended in a successful takedown on January 1, 2025, when officers used a PIT maneuver to stop a speeding vehicle driven by an impaired woman. The chase began at 11:12 PM on GA-400SB at Spalding Drive when the driver refused to pull over. The pursuit continued onto I-285EB before exiting onto Buford Highway. Once the vehicle was safely stopped, the driver was arrested without further incident. She now faces multiple charges, including DUI, speeding, reckless driving, and fleeing police. Sandy Springs police made it clear: impaired driving will not be tolerated in the city.
