Alashankou Port in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region handled more than 216,000 passenger trips in 2024, a year-on-year increase of 69 percent, data released by the port showed.

In 2024, the highest number of inbound and outbound passengers at the port reached 320 on a single day, with a maximum of eight international shuttle buses on a single day."
