Quick-thinking man catches falling pregnant woman just seconds before disaster
On December 24 in Shaoguan, Guangdong, a pregnant woman walking with her daughter near a nursery gate narrowly avoided a fall thanks to the swift actions of a nearby man. As she lost her balance after tripping, the man rushed forward just in time to steady both mother and child, averting potential harm.
CCTV footage captured the incident, which occurred during the morning school rush. The woman, hurrying to drop her child off, was carrying her daughter in one arm and possibly holding a school bag or other items in the other. She tripped and began to lose her balance when a man, stationed at the nursery entrance, reacted instantly and caught them both with a steady hand.
The man, identified as the nursery’s physical education and basketball coach who also handles safety duties, later stated that he simply did what he felt was his responsibility.
