United States - January 08, 2025 A creative use of Morse code helped deputies save a man who had been lying on the ground for four days after no contact was made. On December 18, deputies were called to conduct a welfare check on a man who hadn’t been heard from in several days. Upon arrival, deputies quickly realized something was wrong and used Morse code to communicate with the man inside the house, which had security bars on the windows and doors. After a tense effort to gain entry, they found the man on the floor in his living room. Fire crews quickly transported him to a local hospital. The man later revealed he had been waiting for someone to find him, unable to move for days. Thanks to the quick thinking of the deputies, his life was saved.
