This is the shocking moment a woman on a scooter crashes into a house after smashing through an iron door.

Footage shows her wearing a blue coat and riding the motorcycle while holding a bag of groceries in her left hand, seemingly failing to stop in Hanzhong, Shaanxi, China, on January 1.

She shoots straight into the blue door and ends up inside the house.

The video then shows her gingerly exiting the building, appearing unsteady as she walks.

Local reports indicated that the woman's brakes had failed. She was not seriously injured in the incident.

An eyewitness said he was doing renovations nearby when he heard screams. He turned around and saw the scene, reminding people to prioritise safety.
