Vice President Kashim Shettima led the central ceremony at the Eagle Square in Abuja. The ceremony featured a symbolic gun salute, wreath-laying, and the release of white pigeons symbolizing peace.
In his address, Vice President Shettima emphasized the nation's gratitude to its armed forces and urged citizens to foster unity and peace.
"The sacrifices of our soldiers are the foundation of our sovereignty and unity," he stated.
