Hang glider crashes onto beach in front of shocked tourists in China
A hang glider crashed onto a beach in front of shocked tourists in China.
The pilot flew over Yaduhui Beach when he lost control and plunged with the white and blue equipment in Hainan on January 18.
Footage shows the hang glider with its tip buried in the ground as concerned onlookers rushed to help the pilot out.
The glider was metal and heavy, so beachgoers had to assist in lifting it to free the pilot.
An onlooker said: 'He was injured but did not hurt others. He did not abide by safety rules and operated on his own.'
The pilot had light scratches and bruises but no serious injuries. However, the hang glider was dented and would not be safe for flying.
