Fighter jets conducted aerial refuelling during a North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) training exercise.

The U.S. Air Force fighter aircraft roared through the skies over the North Sea as Exercise Point Blank featured high-intensity aerial manoeuvres on January 29.

Dramatic footage shows F-35 Lightning II and F-15 Strike Eagle aircraft from the 48th Fighter Wing, based at RAF Lakenheath, England, receiving mid-air refuelling from a KC-135 Stratotanker of the 100th Air Refuelling Wing, stationed at RAF Mildenhall.

The complex operation ensured extended flight time for the warplanes as NATO allies and partner nations honed their combat skills.

NATO is a political and military alliance of North American and European countries dedicated to mutual defence against any threat.
