Activists staged a non-violent protest in Rome, demanding better rights for migrants.

At least seven demonstrators from the group Bruciamo Tutto (We Burn Everything) gathered at the Altare della Patria on June 2 to show support for the upcoming referendums on citizenship and labour rights on June 8 and 9.

Three protesters unfurled a white banner from the monument's balcony, featuring 'yes' and 'no' checkboxes with the 'yes' box marked.

The group attempted to share personal testimonies, including stories of migrants seeking a path to citizenship and workers demanding stronger protections, but they were interrupted before they could finish.

Security guards removed the banner, but the activists later repositioned it on the upper steps. No police intervened, and the group eventually left the site voluntarily.

Activist Giulia said: 'We're here to contest the sabotage of the referendums. Voting is a right—women fought for it, and we won't let it be taken away.'
