A couple performed a beautiful underwater dance while freediving in the Philippines.

Footage shows Che Orlina and her partner of two years, Toya, swimming to the depths alongside each other off the coast of Sepoc Island in Batangas province on January 29.

She was held by Toya, and they twirled as they descended.

The girlfriend laid her back in the arms of Toya, who amusingly threw her away to do more tricks.

She said: 'I thought it was going to be a sweet dive, but he tossed me off and returned to the surface. That was how we fool around during our shoot.'

The Philippines has many great diving spots due to its rich marine life and coral reefs. Famous sites include Tubbataha Reefs, Coron's WWII shipwrecks, and Malapascua's thresher sharks. Warm waters and clear seas make the country a perfect place for divers all year round.
