A woman stood in the cold proudly holding up an EU flag in the face of hundreds of riot police amidst protests outside parliament in Tbilisi, Georgia. In this video, the police can be seen clashing with a small group of protesters who had been throwing back empty tear gas canisters, which had earlier been thrown into the crowds. Protesters had also shot fireworks at the riot police, and lit controlled fires in the streets.

This woman paced back and forth in-front of the police for the duration of the demonstration, showing her support for Georgias hope that they will one day be part of the EU. The demonstration is to protest the recently re-elected Georgian Dream Party, who have been accused of being pro-Russian, authoritarian and of meddling in the voting process using intimidation tactics and paying voters.

The party is led by a billionaire who made his money in Russia, and has supported many controversial laws throughout his political career.
