Las Vegas, United States - February 12, 2025 02/12/2025 10:00 am (GMT-0800) LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The legal representatives of Brandon Durham's family met with District Attorney Steven Wolfson on Wednesday morning to discuss potential charges against the officer responsible for Durham's fatal shooting. According to sources, Brandon Durham, 43, a father and local realtor, was fatally shot inside his home by a Las Vegas Metro Police officer on November 12, 2024. An LVMPD press release on Nov. 14, 2024, stated that LVMPD officers responded to multiple reports of a shooting in the 6900 block of Wine Drive at approximately 12:40 a.m. on Nov. 12. One of those reports was received from Durham. According to the press release, "Durham stated multiple people were outside shooting at his residence. He then stated someone had entered through the front and back doors of the house, and he was locking himself in the bathroom. Simultaneously, officers arrived in the area, including Officer Alexander Bookman. They observed damage to the house and could hear screaming coming from inside the residence. Based on the circumstances, Officer Bookman kicked in the front door. Inside, Officer Bookman located Durham and another individual, later identified as 31-year-old Alejandra Boudreaux, struggling over a knife. Officer Bookman gave verbal commands to drop the knife. He then discharged his firearm striking Durham. Officers took Boudreaux into custody and provided medical attention to Durham. Medical personnel were summoned and pronounced Durham deceased at the scene. Through the course of the investigation, it was determined Boudreaux had committed the following crimes: 1 count of Performance of Act in Willful or Wanton Disregard of Safety of Persons Resulting in Death 1 count of Home Invasion with a Deadly Weapon 1 count of Assault with a Deadly Weapon Domestic Violence 1 count of Child Abuse, Neglect, or Endangerment She was arrested and booked into the Clark County Detention Center.
