Satisfying moment gecko stuck in tiny hole is plucked to safety
This is the satisfying moment a gecko with half its body stuck in a tiny hole was plucked to safety.
The lizard had tried to scamper through the narrow opening when it became wedged inside the crevice. It was then exhausted from trying to release itself from the predicament in Ayutthaya, Thailand.
Passerby Supitchaprang noticed the stricken critted and recorded himself pulling the reptile from the hole on February 14.
Footage shows how the Good Samaritan wrapped the lizard's tail around his finger and then lightly yanked it out of the hole.
When Supitchaprang reached its head, he had to apply more force but was careful not to hurt the animal until it was freed.
Supitchaprang said: 'I thought the lizard was trying to enter but it was trying to pull itself out. I stopped to help it.'
The gecko crawled away up the wall after the successful rescue operation.
