A brave woman chased after a robber with a chair in a laundry shop.

Rodmay was sitting alone, calmly waiting for her clothes at the wash-and-fold service when suddenly a man in a helmet came up behind her on Soi Hua Mak 18 in Bangkok, Thailand, on February 16.

CCTV footage shows the thief swiftly snatching Rodmay's purse from the table while she was distracted by her phone.

Determined to catch the suspect, Rodmay quickly grabbed her chair and attempted to chase him.

However, he managed to escape on his motorcycle parked just outside the store.

Rodmay said: 'I was sitting down waiting for my laundry at the store, which had bright lights and a lot of foot traffic. I could not believe it would happen to me.

'In the purse, there was a car key, 300–400 baht (7-9 GBP) in cash, an ID card, and a driving licence.'

The victim later filed a police report following the incident.
