Fully automated refueling robot assists driver in China
On December 1, 2023, in Hangzhou, located in eastern China’s Zhejiang Province, a video captured a scene at a gas station where a white car was being refueled—not by a human attendant, but by an intelligent robotic system.
The bright yellow robot efficiently removed the fuel nozzle, inserted it into the car’s tank, and began the refueling process—all without any human intervention. The driver remained seated, eliminating the need to step out, while the fully automated system handled everything.
The video impressed Chinese viewers, with many praising the technology’s convenience and efficiency, noting how it could reduce labor costs and improve the refueling experience.
