This is the spectacular moment Kilauea volcano spewed 150ft lava fountains in Hawaii.

Hawaiian Volcano Observatory witnessed molten bursts soaring to remarkable heights, averaging 148-164ft (45-50m), with frequent, pulse-pounding bursts climbing to 197-213ft (60-65m) during its 'Episode 10' on February 20.

The fiery spectacle began the previous evening, igniting at 8:22 pm HST when the north vent—the sole active vent in this episode—unleashed fountains.

As the night continued, the intensity decreased, and the fountains stopped at 9:18 am the following day.

Footage from the national park shows the north vent hurling lava into the sky.

This eruption, which began on December 23 of the previous year, follows a pattern of brief, explosive episodes—each lasting around 13 hours, separated by pauses ranging from one day to nearly two weeks.

Kilauea is the world's most active volcanic mass and is the central feature of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.

Its caldera is nearly three miles long and two miles wide, with an area of more than four square miles.
