A driver suffered a reversing fail and crashed into a shop - almost hitting a bystander.

Shocking CCTV footage shows the white sedan uncontrollably reversing out of a parking area in Shandong, China, on February 18 at 4:05 pm.

The vehicle can be seen skidding sideways backwards, coming dangerously close to the woman standing in front of the store before crashing into the shop's glass door.

Upon seeing the car moving toward her, she immediately stepped back with her hands up to protect her head.

Other visibly shocked onlookers could only stare at the vehicle while the terrified woman stood just inches away from the impact zone.

Local media reported that she and the driver did not sustain any injuries from the incident.
