This young Magpie had been hanging upside down in a tree for hours, entangled in fishing line
This Magpie had been entangled for hours in the heat of the day, hopelessly caught on fishing line.
I was able to cut the bird free and it came to the ground exhausted. This was fortunate as it let me capture the animal and get it to a wildlife hospital for removal of the remaining line and further assessment.
After 2 weeks in hospital care I was able to release the bird back home.
