This is the hilarious moment police chased a runaway goat through the streets of Alabama.

The wild farm animal caused chaos in Tuscaloosa on Saturday, February 22, sparking a dramatic police pursuit across the city.

Officers first spotted the speedy culprit dashing past Billy's Sports Bar and Grill on Main Avenue, triggering an afternoon of mayhem.

The animal kept officers on their toes as it raced across a bridge, swung by the Tuscaloosa Department of Transportation building, and evaded capture until police finally cornered it on Seventh Street.

Police said: 'Animal control took custody of the goat, which was unharmed but seemed tired after his hour-long ordeal.'

Emergency responders are still working to track down the goat's owner.
