A clumsy hiker face planted on a muddy trail and left a hilarious imprint of his features on the soft ground.

The adventurer was climbing Coral Hill when he tripped on the large roots of a tree in Pahang, Malaysia, on February 25.

Footage shows the mark he left on the mud with two eyes, nose, and mouth, as well as the shape of his face.

When his friend Ting Hui Che called him to look at the camera, wet dirt could be seen smudged all over her face and laughed.

Ting said: 'It was raining that day, so the ground was soft and muddy. His leg was stuck in deep mud and slipped under a big root.

'He then fell face first. It was so hilarious.'

The group returned to their cabin near the forest to clean up. The hiker was not seriously hurt.
