A young exhausted beached Seal that was stranded for hours on Lelant beach finally escapes back into sea.
A young inexperienced seal had become stranded behind a sandbank after the tide receded on Lelant beach, St Ives in Cornwall. Onlookers became concerned as the exhausted seal was stranded for many hours and started to fear the worst after the young seal stopped trying. One onlooker had called the RSPCA and was told the RSPCA would look into it. Beach walkers took turns informing nearby dog walkers to avoid the area to prevent further distress to the young seal. Eventually the tide turned and the young seal can be seen here finally returning into the ocean as the sun sets much to the relief of the onlookers.
