Runaway tricycle crashes into gaming lounge just inches from owner chilling on sofa
On 7th March in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu, a tricycle suddenly lost control while in motion, causing the elderly driver to be thrown off. The vehicle then veered across the road and crashed directly into a roadside gaming lounge, creating chaos. Fortunately, no one was injured.
CCTV footage captured the dramatic moment as the tricycle smashed through the glass door with immense force. Customers inside the lounge were left terrified, while several cats in the shop scattered in panic. The lounge owner, who had been resting on a sofa, narrowly avoided the impact but was hit by shards of broken glass. Thankfully, he escaped unharmed.
The elderly driver sustained only minor scratches and was otherwise uninjured. Following the incident, the lounge owner quickly cleaned up the site. The accident resulted in a shattered glass door and damage to some of the shop’s facilities, with estimated losses of around 10,000 yuan.
After discussions, the driver’s construction team promptly dispatched workers to repair the damage. By the next morning, the glass door and affected facilities had been restored, allowing the lounge to resume normal operations.
Authorities are still investigating the exact cause of the tricycle’s loss of control.
