On 14th March, in Lingshui, Hainan, Mr. Chen and his friends were out at sea on a fishing trip when they noticed a large dolphin repeatedly leaping near their boat in an unusual manner.

Puzzled by its behaviour, they soon realised the dolphin might be seeking help. Deciding to follow it, they steered their boat in the direction it seemed to be leading them.

Upon reaching the spot, they discovered a baby dolphin entangled in debris floating on the water, likely foam and ropes, leaving it unable to move. The large dolphin, identified as the baby’s mother, circled nearby, staying protectively close.

Mr. Chen and his friends immediately launched a rescue effort, carefully approaching the baby dolphin. Supporting its tail with their hands, they worked to free it from the entanglement. After some effort, the baby dolphin was finally set free.

Gently releasing it back into the sea, they watched as the baby dolphin swam joyfully, seemingly expressing gratitude before disappearing into the distance with its mother.
