Heavy rain forced motorway closures in Seville, Spain.

Dramatic footage shows roads inundated by torrential rain from Storm Laurence, causing significant traffic disruptions in the city on March 18.

The freak weather resulted in the closure of the AP-4 motorway in both directions, between kilometres 13 and 78, from Dos Hermanas in Seville to Jerez Norte in Cadiz. This was due to flooding caused by a stream overflowing into the Guadalquivir River.

The heavy downpour impacted the country for a third consecutive week on Tuesday. Local media reported that the storm led to at least two fatalities, with a couple's vehicle swept away by floodwaters near Constantina.
