The RNLI saved two walkers stranded by rising tide along Wirral Coast in England.

Footage shows Royal National Lifeboat Institution volunteers onboard a speedboat to reach the pair standing in water on May 13.

They were halfway between Middle Eye and Little Eye islands when the water rose and they took refuge on a rock.

They were unhurt and turned over to Wirral Coastguard Rescue Team who assisted them home.

Later that day, another four people were spotted on Middle Eye and another on Hilbre Island, also stranded by the tide.

No one was hurt and taken back to shore safely.
