A cheeky wild monkey tucked into leftover bread at Starbucks before grabbing a cup of coffee to go.

The primate climbed into the veranda of the popular coffee chain before taking some of the food on the table in Tagaytay, the Philippines.

Footage shows the macaque quickly stuffing food into its mouth while customers watched it from a nearby table.

The monkey finished the food, appearing to stay alert in case someone came near, before taking a frappe and fleeing on March 19.

Customer Lujile Kim Nofies said: 'I was taking pictures with my friends when the monkey came.

'I thought it was a big bird, but it was a monkey. It left immediately and hung out on a tree with a coffee.'

Starbucks, founded in Seattle, U.S., in 1971, is a global coffeehouse chain known for its specialty coffee, beverages, and snacks.
