A British man has started a business in Australia doing jobs that people don't want to do - including cleaning, gardening and grocery shopping.

George Redfern, 21, left his home in Wirral, Merseyside, in January 2025, and travelled to Athens, Dubai, and Bangkok, finishing in Australia.

After a month of travelling around the country, George settled down in Perth in February 2025.

He soon realised that he needed an income and started applying for social media jobs, bar jobs and reception jobs but with no luck.

One day he was cleaning his girlfriend's family garden when he realised he could make a career doing jobs that people don't want to do.

He launched CBA jobs on March 5 and has so far been paid $700 doing mundane tasks like gardening, window cleaning and car washing.

George Redfern, 21, a content creator from Wirral, Merseyside said: "One day I was cleaning the garden of my girlfriend's family house and I thought to myself that I can do this as a job."

"I started the company a few weeks ago, and I had a job today that took five hours at this woman's house who had disabilities and she needed help on her garden. "

"I'm looking to do a car wash, window cleaning, garden tidy up, and house tidy up. It's not really a skilful job,"

these are just jobs you have to complete the job."

Before travelling to Australia, George and his girlfriend, Halle, 21, had always dreamed of spending a year in Australia.

In January this year, the pair set off and travelled to Athens, Dubai, and Bangkok, before ending up in Australia in March 2025.

George said: "We did a few days in Greece and went to Athens to see the sights and then met some of my girlfriend's family in Abu Dhabi. "

"We then went to Dubai and then went to Bangkok for five days and then went to Sydney for two weeks. "

"I'd say Abu Dhabi was my favourite just by how quiet it was, but it's a crazy place, and you feel so safe."

When George moved to Australia, he started applying for jobs in social media, bar work and receptionist jobs but had no luck.

Stumped, George decided to start a business - called CBA Jobs on March 5, 2025,

- where he does the mundane daily jobs that people can't or don't want to do.

Since starting the company, George said it had gone strength to strength, having earned £700 in just two weeks - and has done window cleaning, car washing, and grocery shopping.

George said: "I was cleaning the back garden because I was bored waiting to hear back from jobs. "

"An idea popped into my head that I could do jobs for people who don't have time to do those jobs or don't want to. "

"With no money at all, I created my own Facebook page and asked the customers if I could use their equipment. Within hours, I had five customers who wanted me to clean up their gardens and use their equipment. "

"At my first job, I earned $115 for four hours of work, and with that money, I started buying gardening equipment and work gear. In my second job I earned $135 using their equipment as well."

George said his favorite job to do is gardening as he is outdoors all day.

He said that happy customers have already booked him in for future jobs.

George said, "People have asked me to come back, which was nice, and I like the fact that it is making a difference to people's lives."

"I did a job the other day with a woman who is currently caring for her son who has cancer, and it was nice to help her out."

"Garden cleaning is my favourite job because you are in the outdoors all day, and I like to take before-and-after shot's so I can see the difference that my work has made."
