Lake George, United States - March 09, 2025 Video shows a police officer driving a 4-wheeled bike on the ice of the frozen Lake George. The unusual sight was part of a patrol conducted by the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation. On March 9, ECOs Brassard and LaPoint rode ATVs across the frozen waters in Bolton. Their mission was to check anglers for compliance with New York’s fishing rules. The officers stopped at “The Narrows” and met two perch fishermen. They noticed a bucket with too many fish. After counting, Brassard and LaPoint found 69 perch, 19 more than the legal limit. One fisherman got a ticket for the violation. The patrol shows how officers enforce regulations, even on icy lakes. The video has drawn attention to their work.
